  1. Hello, I have been playing badminton for a number of years. I am keen to play or join an existing team at Matangi hall. Time that suits me most would be 5pm onwards. I know there is a group playing on Tuesday mornings but that time does not suit me. Love to hear from any keen baddy lover around the area who is keen.

  6. Wandering Dogs

One evening last week two dogs attacked our guinea pig hutch and killed one of the guinea pigs. A neighbour’s chicken was also mauled on the same night and it’s very likely the same two dogs were responsible.

One was a brown pitbull looking dog and the other a white whippet or similar.

Please be watchful of your pets/animals as these dogs could possibly still be in the area or could return. If you see wandering dogs, you can call Animal Control on 0800 492 452.

  8. Hi,

We have a lost cat walking around the house (Webster Road), looking for attention and food! It’s really friendly, but underfeed.. so definitely not a wild cat, but it didn’t have any food in a while either. Our own cat doesn’t really like to have another cat walking around.. so hopefully we can bring it back to where it belongs.

Please let me know if this is your cat or if you know someone looking for their cat.

    Description:
    – short hair
    – looks quit young
    – grey coloured with black stripes

    Cheers,
    Merel (email: merelhoskens90@gmail.com)
