The Parish of St George was established 15 years ago in Hamilton. The missionary priest who serves this parish, from its foundation until today, is Rev. Father Ovidiu Anton Motofelea. He has become a familiar figure in Matangi since the church purchased St David’s in 2019. It is a credit to his parish to see the Church today.

The church was consecrated by the Bishop Mihail from Melbourne, leader of the Romanian Orthodox Church of Australia and New Zealand , As well as dignitaries and parishioners of the church local residents were invited to attend the consecration on September 3.
