The Matangi Community Committee would like to acknowledge the death of David Taylor on the 29th October and express our condolences to Deonne and his family. It feels very sudden. David joined the Committee and was its chairperson from 2017 to late last year. We appreciate the leadership David showed as Chair and especially during projects of significance to the community including the negotiation to retain St David’s Church for the Community. David’s forbears had originally gifted the land to the church. We were not successful but it was important that he could register the local interest.
