“Thank you for taking part in the survey with regards the preferred location of a new WEL transformer for Matangi.  The majority of respondents chose ‘option one’ which aligns with the thoughts of representatives of Matangi Community Committee, Matangi School, and St Davids & St George’s church, who attended a site meeting with representatives of Waikato District Council and WEL Networks on 8 August.

Subject to final approval of an easement in the Jack Foster Reserve by Waikato District Council, the transformer is expected to be placed in the chosen location and connected by early October.” Councillor Crystal Beavis
