The Matangi Community Committee would like to express our sympathy to Jill and family following Rob’s death last week.

Rob had been a Councillor for this area for 39 years before he chose not to seek re election in 2022. During our years of interaction with him, Rob was always a constant and conscientious supporter of our Community – committing to attending all of our meetings and advocating on behalf of our residents.

Rob was also instigator, and committed member, of the Tamahere- Eureka Wards (now Tamahere – Woodlands) Heritage Group and led the initiative to place heritage signs in our communities. They serve as a reminder of his interest and dedication to the area.
