Have your say about what you would like Mātangi to be like in the future.

The Waikato District Council is encouraging feedback from all communities within its district, about the shape and direction that their individual communities will develop over time.

The Mātangi Community Committee has started putting together a draft strategic plan for the future of our community.

The Committee needs your feedback on the draft document, and more ideas from you, so it can develop the plan further.

Please provide feedback through our meeting and/or by completing the survey online or in hard copy by October 25.

There will be a casual drop in community meeting at the Mātangi Hall on October 20 to discuss the draft plan and gather residents’ ideas.

At tables throughout the hall, there will be members of the Community Committee available to discuss and answer questions. There will be copies of the document, pens and paper to record your ideas and thoughts, and give feedback on the plan.

The document is quite large.  It would be good if you could familiarise yourself with it before the meeting. If you would like to see a printed copy please visit the Tamahere Council and Community Office above the Tamahere Pharmacy where there is a copy available for you to read.

The Mātangi Community Committee will incorporate community ideas into a Final Draft Strategic Plan by the end of 2024.
