Projects begun:
Morrinsville Road Upgrade Consultation began in February, 2025. The result is a planned Peanut Roundabout, the construction of which includes closing Morrinsville Road from February to May 2026.

Tamahere Reserve reopened to visitors December 2025 after the removal of roadside pine trees and creation of a new parking area and path.

Tamahere Reserve Concept Plan available to read and give feedback on now – The Community consultation / drop in day is set for Saturday 31 January 2026 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Tamahere Community Centre
Mātangi Recreational Reserve Concept Plan – discussions with local residents/communities has begun with a formal consultation process for the Reserve to be undertaken in 2026.

The Matangi Community Committee will next meet on Tuesday, February 10 at 7.30 p.m. in the Matangi Hall. This is a General Meeting at which we will have the Election of Officers and Committee members appointed for the next 3 years. All Welcome
