Work by Graham Membery and the rest of the Matangi Drainage committee has resulted in a change to the drainage boundary to allow drainage work to be undertaken that will  increase the stormwater flow away from the Village, through the Taplin Road intersection and beside Tauwhare Road to the gully near Lee Martin Road.

Pipes are now ready to be installed that will enable the footpath to be extended from Good Street to Taplin Road.

There is sure to be some traffic disruption but the result will be worth that inconvenience.
