Plans, buses, carparks – lots to discuss -Matangi Community Committee Meeting, Tuesday May 9, 7 p.m. Tamahere Council and Community Space. All Welcome.

Proposed District Plan – Decisions Version

A number of Matangi residents submitted to the new District Plan so it is interesting to see the changes that have been decided upon. It is still a proposed plan as there are a number of appeals still to be heard. The mapping tool is also a great way to have a look around our neighbourhood and help us think about Matangi in 30 or 50 years – the task we have given ourselves in creating a new Strategic Plan.

Minutes of our last meeting can be found here. At that meeting triennial elections were held. Our new Chairperson is Phil Bertrand Special thanks to David Taylor who held the role for the last six years.

The Agenda for Tuesday will include an update on progress toward a new Matangi Strategic Plan, a review of the wording of the current Matangi Blueprint, information on a Waikato Regional Council proposed bus service pilot, community feedback on the Jack Foster Reserve Council car park proposal, and an update on the Matangi School OSET project.

Matangi Community Committee Meeting, Tuesday May 9, 7 p.m. Tamahere Council and Community Space, Tamahere – upstairs above the Tamahere Pharmacy. All Welcome.
