Preserving and growing the Community Poppy Net at Matangi School. Teacher Kat Osborne has ensured this poignant reminder continues.
“A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful ladies from our community who gave their time each Monday to help 14 Year 5 students learn to knit. The pride on their faces as they added their own poppies to the net was truly special.
We also appreciate everyone in the community who has contributed poppies throughout the year, your support has made this project something truly meaningful.”
The school held an ANZAC commemoration on 24 April.
