Waikato District Council – Offices and Libraries moving to cash free (Feb 2018)

Please see the WDC Media Release here concerning the move to cash free operations from 17 February 2018 (ie clients will need to use on-line banking, eftpos, Visa, Paywave or other cashfree options instead)

A retrograde step. Not everyone has an eftpos card, especially children. I do not spend a lot at the library. A little bit of photocopying might be 30 cents, the odd small fine $1.50. It is easier to pay small amounts by cash I think.
