NZTA advice on this meeting as below…
We will be holding one meeting for people interested in the project in both the Waipa and Waikato Districts. This will held be at the Hamilton Airport Hotel on Wednesday 28 November from 5pm to 6pm.
At the meeting we will have staff from the Transport Agency and our consultants to talk about the preliminary environmental and ecological work that is under way and answer any property or project-related questions you may have.
The Transport Agency has established Community Liaison Groups under the conditions of our designation as a way of keeping the community informed of progress and provide an opportunity for the community and individuals to raise any issues with the project team.
It is important to reiterate ahead of this meeting that no final decisions have been made about construction timing for Southern Links. This meeting is to update the community on progress to date and the next steps. Please note the meeting is open to anyone who would like to attend.
We will hold these meetings at least annually until construction begins, then they will be held at least every three months.
Further information about the project is available on our website www.nzta.govt.nz/southern-links or you can email southernlinks@nzta.govt.nz.
