Sculpture Park update – Open to visitors and for group bookings

Current exhibition closing soon. The next event at Easter – Seeds of Renewal

The storm last week caused a few hair-raising moments with some trees falling, branches cracking, and one sculpture swinging dramatically in the wind.  Thanks to the volunteers who came to help clean up with staff so it was only necessary to close the park for two days.

David McKie joined the Trust Board of the park this month.  David taught the MBA at the University of Waikato for 25 years and will help the Trust to make better connections with businesses throughout the Waikato.  The park is an ideal venue for

  • Team building including games such as UNCONFINED
  • Workshops
  •  and Training sessions

He will be highlighting the many ways businesses can support their brand by connecting with the park and its events.

Our next major event is at Easter.  Seeds of Renewal will be held on Easter Weekend again.  There will be workshops on seed collection, tree pruning, composting, planting native trees, and soil renewal.  This time around Mitre10 is our major sponsor so it promises to be an even better opportunity than last year to consider the many possibilities of revitalizing your garden and the Waikato.  Pre-booking will be required for this event because of the red light setting; tickets will go on sale in March.
