Matangi Garden Club is a thriving group of local garden enthusiasts – Talking about plants and gardens, giving and getting garden advice, going on garden tours and sharing time together.

The club’s annual plant sale is held in the Matangi Hall, Tauwhare Road in October. The 2025 sale is planned to be held on Saturday 18 October from 9 a.m. – 12.00 noon. All Welcome.

The Matangi Garden Club Annual Plant Sale has earned an excellent reputation as a great place to find a wide selection of healthy home garden and landscaping plants – seedlings, tubers, perennials, bulbs, shrubs, trees and indoor plants. Free Entry – bring a box to carry your choices.
Delicious morning tea available. Cakes, Preserves. produce and raffles also on sale. No pushchairs before 10 a.m. please. 

Sale income supports club activities and a portion is donated to local charities each year.
