If you were hoping to get to the Open Day last Sunday and didn’t quite make it, or have something else you’d like to discuss, Mayor, Axel Bech, will be out and about, and happy to chat with you, at the Tamahere Country Market on Saturday.
With the choice of Local Government amalgamation options to be submitted in a short time frame, Axel is keen to hear more about what residents think, and offer any information he can about the process. Online feedback to Council before July 10 please.
The Tamahere Country Market meets in the grounds of St Stephens Church, Tamahere, on the third Saturday of every month, rain, hail or shine! It starts at 8.30 am and runs through to 1pm. A huge range of goods is available for sale from coffee and fresh food to plants, crafts and collectables. Established 22 years ago much of it’s success is attributed to the leadership and hard work of Jane Manson, who was recently awarded a Kings Service Medal for her contributions to the community.
