WDC at your service – in Tamahere

It’s rather a long time since residents in this part of the Waikato District could access council services in Hamilton East and have instead needed to travel to Ngaruawahia but that has all changed with the opening of the new Council service and Community Space upstairs from the Tamahere Pharmacy – you can climb the stairs or take the lift. Whether it is dog registration, rates, the opportunity to read Council publications and make submissions or some other Council service you require Greer will be on hand 9.30 to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, 027 268 4304, Tamahere.Counter@waidc.govt.nz , to help with your query.

Other facilities include free access to 2 meeting rooms (please book), wifi and tea and coffee making (please wash your cups). Other community activities will also be introduced – please make any suggestions that would be of value to you.

Community feedback has been very positive so far. The space has been created with generous support from Foster Development Ltd for an initial period of 3 years and it would be great to see the service continue beyond that period.
