Submissions in response to council’s proposed electorate and Ward system for the next Local Government elections close at 5 p.m. on Friday August 20.

When the Matangi Community Committee met last Tuesday evening the proposed Reshape was discussed and those present resolved to submit in opposition to Council’s proposal to place Matangi within a Hamilton fringe electorate of 3 councillors. The Council Reshape proposal includes changes to many Wards and the proposal for the new Maaori Ward.
