There are a few new items from Council of importance to Matangi Residents and a big one still outstanding.

Electoral change. The Matangi community has straddled the Eureka-Tamahere Ward border but we will now all be in the new Tamahere-Woodlands Ward, which extends from Tamahere to Woodlands Road in Gordonton, and will vote for 2 Councillors in this year’s election. There is a good explanation of the change on the Tamahere Forum https://www.tamahereforum.co.nz/2022/04/06/tamahere-rolled-into-super-ward/
Library news – Click and Collect at Tamahere. You can now place holds on library items and collect them from Tamahere Community office. Place your holds online through the library catalogue, or you place your holds in person at the Tamahere Office and Community Space above the Tamahere Pharmacy.
“When your holds arrive, we’ll give you a call to let you know they’re ready for pick-up. This service is available to all Waikato District residents who have signed up for a library card. If you don’t already have a library card, you can sign up for one online or in person.” For more information about Click and Collect,
