Having received the results of the Tree Survey conducted by the Matangi Community Committee Waikato District Council has purchased new trees. Council arborists and support staff will remove the cherry trees on the South side berm of Matangi Road and, in consultation with property residents, will begin planting Prunus yedoensis ‘Mountain Haze’. The cherry trees on the other side of the road will remain.

Depending on the weather the work may take up to a month.
